Hello together, today the most laptop computers are not equipped with parallel printer interfaces any more.
So many people use usb/parallel adapters to keep their once expensive equipment still running. The problem is, it seems that this equipment is not recognized by HPLIP and therefore can not be adjusted even when it is active in CUPS. My system: HP Compaq nx8220 laptop HP LaserJet 1100 printer Sitecom USB to parallel adapter OS Ubuntu 6.10 edgy eft with Linux kernel 2.6.17-11-386 HPLIP 1.6.9-0 CUPS 1.2.4-2 Regards, Joe
