Unfortunately, I think you are beyond the scope of this mailing list, as
this is a CUPS/application issue. I would recommend that you post to one of
the mailing lists on cups.org and/or linuxprinting.org for more assistance
(or maybe even individual application like gedit, OOo, etc. mailing
lists/help forums).
