Hi Aaron.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear - I don't use HPOJ. I just found a hint
to the solution in the HPOJ docs. I only have HPLIP installed.

Apparently not foolproof. HPLIP was running and the print module was
still loaded. Maybe there is some important sequence of events - like
what happens if the printer is plugged in after HPLIP is started? Is
hotplug still able to load the print module automatically then?

I'm far from being an expert in these matters... I can only tell what
I noticed, and how I solved the problem. But I suspect I won't be
the only one to encounter this situation.
