My D4160 prints ok in Xandros 3. I am using the hplip1.6.10 driver. If the printer is off during session and then I turn it on the computer o/s thinks it is a new printer and wants to re-install it, which makes a lock up. If I answer no, it will print one document and then try to detect which causes the printer lights to flash very fast and printer locks up. If I leave printer on all the time I have no problem--Jack
