Currently there is an issue with PyQT 3.17. We are looking into a resolution.
However if you are using kde this may help you:

So one can for example pre-configure a GNOME/GTK Fax GUI to use this
command line. This could be done by printerdrake when setting up a fax
queue.
One could also add ink level check and nozzle cleaning functions to
printerdrake, which simply call the appropriate command line tools of
HPLIP.
