one thing that's become clear to me as i work on historical highway routings is that we need a way to represent the fact that two way vs one way is something that changes. the original routings of NY 2 and NY 7 through Troy NY were on two way roads; when the modern Congress Street Bridge was completed about 1970 many roads in downtown Troy were switched to one way and the corresponding highway routes were changed accordingly.
