I'm busy writing a kakfa read/writer module and pretty close to getting it working.
I noticed that the instructions changed regarding ":local" plugins. http://hekad.readthedocs.org/en/latest/installing.html#building-hekad-with-external-plugins What's a safe version or commit to use? I'm ok with the answer to be to just build at HEAD of dev if need be. I don't mind playing fast and loose, just trying to get these plugins working....
