That seems bad... The Glorious Glasgow Haskell Compilation System, version 6.10.4 This is the deb ghc6 package for unstable. Cabal was installed using ghc 6.8.x. I tried re-installing a couple of other cabal packages, including hps and bytestring, and they went through without a hitch.
