Disagree strongly. Rock Band is clearly the better choice. Currently
there are close to, if not more than 1000 tracks available. Harmonix is
releasing 6-10 songs per week vs 2-5 songs/week that GHWT releases.

If you purchase Rock Band 2, you can get the Rock Band 1 Songs imported to
the DLC list by paying a small (I think $5) fee for the import.
Things to note:
The Rock Band 2 Drums are much better than the Rock Band 1 Drums. Same
with the guitar. (At least on the Wii)
You'll want to pick up an extra guitar when you buy the set, having just
one doesn't work.
You just missed out on a great Mt. Dew/Rock Band promotion, there were
caps that were giving free DLC about 75% of the time. I got a lot of DLC
from that promotion (50+ songs)
