Hey group, just got my HackRF One today, playing around with it, I'm pretty happy!
However, I'm Having a strange issue with the RX Gain control. It seems that when RX Gain is now set to anything above 0 (such as the expected 14db), the RX amp appears to shut off, (signal strength drops!). I could have sworn earlier on today, I was seeing my signal strength increase when switched to 14db.... anyone else experience this? I am using the osmocom in GRC to set the gain value. One other thing to note, I was playing around with a 2-way radio near HackRF unit trying to get that to receive, I don't think I would have gotten closer than 3-4 feet. Could I have blown the Rx Amp in any way doing this? I wouldn't think so.... but could be wrong. It's strange that when I expect the amp to be turning ON, the Gain drops.... could this be a bad amp?
