I also personally had the most success with this, compared to all other methods... but I was using GQRX. I was able to actually pull in 3 or 4 FM stations instead of only one, and the frequencies were correct for the first time... but still no signals to speak of anywhere else - no 10 or 15MHz WWV, no 2-meter FM, etc.
