It was interesting, but underwhelming. Perhaps I was jaded having recently visited the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Fashion Museum in Bath. The method of presentation was interesting at the Pitti Palace, juxtaposing fashion styles throughout history in the same display case to show influences. For example, a 20th Century example of an Empire waist from the 60's might be displayed with a garment from around 1913 as well as one from the Napoleonic Era. Even so, the collection is smallish.
