Coming in late on this; did anyone mention "Mongol Costume" in the discusion o f? Peasant garb? The book was published by the Carlsberg Foundation, Nomad Research Project 1993. it? includes basic clothing design descriptions for the China Stepps and central environs frmon very early times. Not surprising, pics are inclusive of garments and artifacts on the wealthy side of Class, but the shapes, colors, patterns include basic costume theory.
