I have bought nice 100% cotton quilting fabric for a quilt project in the past where 2 of the colors of the same exact fabric behaved beautifully but the third color stretched like mad for no apparent reason (even after hi heat wash/dry/iron/starching all three colors). It made piecing the quilt a total nightmare because when I pressed the seams on the blocks the stretchy color stretched and threw the square off badly, even though everything was cut the same.
