I know that the subject of garb and breastfeeding comes up occasionally among reenactors and costume historians, so I thought that a picture of Beatrix, queen of Roger II the first Norman king of Sicily, breastfeedng their daughter Constance might be of interest. It is from Peter of Eboli's MS dated 1198 C.E. I have the picture as a jpeg and would be happy so send it to anyone interested. Perhaps someone could post it to a site that would be accessible to everyone?
