Hi Dave,

Which Windows are you using?  There is an app for a soundcard problem which
only effect XP/Vista users who use Eloquence (its name is Change Soundcard),
and maybe it would solve whatever problem you're having.

I have my doubts about using an app in general to change soundcards though
(I don't change soundcards in the app I mentioned, I just tell WE to use the
default soundcard if you change what the default device is).

The reason for my doubts about changing soundcards is that if you get it
wrong in the app, you can crash WE and/or leave the user without speech;
having them change soundcards via the WE control panel provides the
mechanism for an automatic fallback if the newly chosen card doesn't work,
and that's really saved me more than once.

Why don't you describe your issue with more detail, and maybe GW or someone
will be able to suggest some solution.
