IIRC, unicode and the wg behind 10646 both declare than ohm sign is for
roundtrip compatibility only and that all new documents should use the
helenic majuscule letter, including for abbreviating ohms.

as such, i'd expect font support and things like document searching to
support U+03A9 [Ω] better than U+2126 [Ω].
