I forgot to do that, of course. But never mind, I have some preliminary findings: 1. Using the "-ms" command-line option instead of ".mso s.tmac" solves the worst problem, where word breaking is defeated. 2. groff 1.22.4 and 1.22.3 exhibit the same misbehavior. 3. ms(7) seems not to understand that the section heading ends when the subsequent paragraph starts, but only when rendering HTML. I surmise a bug in www.tmac, but I have a bias against that macro file. I'll look into (1) for long enough to create a Savannah ticket for it. I can't offer an ETA for a fix until I understand the problem. It's very odd to me that: .mso s.tmac .mso de.tmac at the top of a document is somehow not equivalent to "-ms -mde".
