Oh wow. The option has already been provided since Dec 2020 and i totally missed it. It appears you have a large team working on maintaining system-man and the related ebuilds including man-db, groff, and mandoc. Thank you, that seems quite useful. Getting real-world usage in diverse environments is beneficial to keep up the stability and reliability of a software packages. And i believe Gentoo is still significantly different from many other major Linux distributions in a number of ways.
