I _did_ recommend them until recently, when one's scroll wheel failed and the next developed this fault with the left button. I'm now not sure what to think of Logitech. But I am a pretty convinced thumb-ball user; I resented the amount of desk space a mouse demanded as soon as I was exposed to one, and the requirement to pick up and reposition the thing always struck me as incredibly clumsy. But I'm also of the right generation to have encountered trackballs _before_ mice. If they're good enough to direct one's anti-ballistic missile defenses, they're good enough for my computer. > > I'm trying the attachment again for the benefit of list readers. > > I guess you forgot it, 'cause I can't see it :/. <facepalm> Third try. > Sorry to completely drop it from the email, but I think it would be > harder to use than tbl(1), for less functionality. No harder than Texinfo's @multitable, which I mentioned earlier in the thread. Less functionality? Yes. But then tbl has a lot of features you won't use for your synopses. On the bright side, if you find the newly rewritten man page for tbl pellucid, then that too will please me. I found tbl un-masterable until I rewrote the document. I undertook many experiments to produce it. > I'm already trying tbl(1). Good news is I'll review your page! I'll > try to make it work without reading anything other than that page. To me, even that compares favorably to a progressive rollout that starts someplace other than your desk. :-/ Regards, Branden
