I don't. :-) Not unless a user typically wants to keep both accessible, e.g. on Sun OS where some things depend on other's old behaviour. For man(1), a user doesn't want to alter muscle memory for `man ls'. If the project's current standards are to avoid sitting in front of the default command then the best solution was as the project maintainers suggested: the user modifies their PATH as directed. It's a one-off operation done as part of their installing it compared with `man foo', realise something's wrong, hopefully, curse, and then `_man foo'. -- Cheers, Ralph.
