Neither man nor mdoc are the most important macro package for troff. :-) It's ms as that was used to produce some of the most significant computer books for multiple generations of programmers. > > It is easy to use, > > That's a blatant lie. Yes, inconsistencies of style can result, but the number of distinct authors over the decades that were happy to dabble with their only bit of troff so their program had a man page suggests it is *easy* to do else they wouldn't have bothered.
