I've just seen this: http://ftp.fi.muni.cz/pub/bibliography/tools/bibtex2refer I can imagine that such a tool could be improved so that the many BibTeX databases are accessible to groff, cf. http://liinwww.ira.uka.de/bibliography/ Werner
