LGTM. BTW, this is a regression that could be caught by simple -Tascii-level tests of a `make check'. I know we think PDF comparisons are awkward, etc., but this shows more simple tests are still useful. The new maintainers might feel there's more of a safety net for their changes if some tests are put in place. Cheers, Ralph.
