With the actual groff CVS version and with ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/groff/groff-1.22.2.tar.gz, `autoreconf' produces errors with `configure', but `autoconf' is fine for `configure'.
I do not know where that comes from. I did not install anything about `autotools' in CVS. Maybe the deletion of `autom4te.cache' should be done by someone with admin access. Bernd Warken
