Hi, I've just come across http://aaa-sec.com/nroffedit/ and thought it may be of interest. Has the nroff source of the RFC in the left pane and the formatted version in the right. Unfortunately, it's written in Java. Don't know if it actually uses nroff to do the formatting and how well if would cope with non-RFC material.
