what seems buggy is the following:

I now get  "numeric overflow" errors/warnings for each `.PSPIC'  
call although
the generated output looks alright.

It has been that way for a long time. I have the Makefile redirect  
stderr to a file where I can check for stuff that *really* needs to  
be fixed.
