The behaviour of groff hasn't changed in last few years, except the
introduction of SGR escape sequences in grotty (which can be turned
off with various means).

Hmm.  Why that?

I see this option the first time.  It seems the Fedora people have
cooked something up by theirselves, making it incompatible with a
vanilla groff installation.
