The page you linked to is the download page, not the installation instructions. Those are located here:

http://gregorio-project.github.io/installation-linux.html

Assuming there was no error message when you executed the install script, then you should be okay. As a simple test, you can run `gregorio --version` in terminal. If you get back the version statement, then you're good. If not, then you've got a problem.

Assuming you're good, I suggest that as a new user of TeX (and it's decedents) that you make use of TeXworks. It's a basic IDE (integrated development environment) for using TeX and family and will provide you with a friendly GUI (graphic user interface).

TeXworks is usually available though your package manager (or software store) for most Linux distributions. On Ubuntu, for instance `sudo apt-get install texworks` will do the job.

Once it's installed, you'll need to configure it so that the appropriate TeX engine is available. Instructions for that can be found here:

http://gregorio-project.github.io/configuration-texworks.html

Once configured, the basic procedure for creating documents which use Gregorio can be found here:

http://gregorio-project.github.io/introduction-editor.html

As a first time user, I also recommend going through the tutorials as the most gentle introduction for using Gregorio:
