Hello! I just installed the latest version, 370.23, and when I installed take to long to compile the modules. I needed to stop installation, create mp/do_not_build_dkms_module file and try installation manually. The compilation works well if I execute the 'make' command on source direcotry (/usr/src/nvidia-370-370.23) but if I use dkms the log says: Building module: cleaning build area.... 'make' -j4 NV_EXCLUDE_BUILD_MODULES='' KERNEL_UNAME=4.4.0-34-generic IGNORE_XEN_PRESENCE=1 IGNORE_CC_MISMATCH=1 SYSSRC=/lib/modules/4.4.0-34-generic/build LD=/usr/bin/ld.bfd modules............................................................................................................................... and there a lot of dots after that.
I'm afraid there is this pain process for every new compilation. Any ideas about how to fix? -- Marcos H. Alano Sent from my Android
