Hello steve,

i sure did get your reply thank you. what i would like to do is
encrypt/decrypt sign/verify signatures on my emails. as to which component
is not working correctly, i can't say. unlike my previous (older version)
installation of gpg, i have no options in my mail menus or preferences
to set up the facility.

quite awhile back, after an OS upgrade gpg quit working and my reading of the
list told me that i should wait until several issues were to be
resolved for those of use that had upgraded. so, i followed the list on the
fringes and yesterday with the announce of the new release, i
decided it was time to give it a go.

looking closer at the list i see that there seem to be several "components"
with MAC and GPG in their title with changes in case and position
to differentiate them. i know i'm getting old and maybe even tip the bottle too
often but at this point i am simply confused.

regards
