That maybe the source of your problem: MacPorts is known to install a version of pinentry that is not compatible with MacOSX. I suggest that you install GnuPG 2.0.16 using the binary installer MacGPG2 2.0.16, for the moment at: <http://sourceforge.net/projects/macgpg2/files/>, from the hyperlink: 'Looking for the latest version? Download MacGPG2-2.0.16.zip (7.9 MB)' Download and expand the file, quit all running applications, run the installer, restart. OR: you can wait for the oncoming installer for MacGPG2 2.0.17, that will be posted for download at the GitHub site, in merger with the GPGTools project.
