The limit of 100 search results is imposed on the server side;
no browser will make a difference. The limit is there because:

1) I think the limit helps keep searches from running too slowly.
I haven't tested this recently, so might need to double check
and make sure it makes a difference. Search is already pretty
slow if there are a lot of matches form a big archive.

2) The user interface on htdig (M-A's search engine) is kind of lame
for more than 100 results. Not completely abysmal, but kinda clunky.

3) I never imagined anyone would have the patience to get through
more than 100 results. I guess I have a short attention span.

4) Search is probably going to have to change anyway some time
in 2006 to have better internationalization support. So we're not
spending too much time worrying about it.

If you want, I can raise the limit for a particular list to - oh - 300 and
see if that makes life better. I thought I did that with "biofuel" but
it appears to have reset itself back to 100 for some mysterious
reason (note to self: find out why). So I don't have a live example
to show.
