Fred, Thanks for the problem report. The problem appears to be specific to gossip because it is an internal mailing list and therefore an oddball. There was a tricky interaction involving
* our sorting engine's batch mode * a particular spam trap we use * our backup mail exchanger * a deprecated archival address * using the same computer for too many things I think I found all the AWOL mail and put it in the right place. Also, I've attempted to fix the problem, but will continue to monitor. If we continue to have trouble with gossip, more drastic measures are possible including moving some things around in the network infrastructure.
