Good news: A lot of mail piled up while archiving was on hold. At this point 100% of that backlog has been processed. At this particular moment archiving latency is zero! I don't think we've had a zero latency moment for years.
Don't get too excited, I'm sure some latency will return (perhaps a few hours worth) as the world returns from its weekend and starts typing up zillions of emails. But we should be in pretty good shape due to recent software changes that make processing incoming mail faster. This is in part due to the most recent release of MHonArc, kudos to author Earl Hood. Mail-Archive is also sporting recently expanded storage, so hopefully things will be in good shape for a while.
