* Noise to signal ratio on gossip
There have been a few totally offtopic posts recently to gossip by confused users. Those individuals have been pruned, and I beefed up the gossip subscription page to be extra clear. It may help a little bit. * >[re: import] How many messages are in the queue, and do you have >an ETA for the rest of the archive? Right now? About 100 messages in queue (Sundays are slow, so we get a chance to catch up). Anything not archived either is sitting in the secondary MX, was unarchivable, or ended up in some unexpected place. Yes, imports are a real pain, sorry. * >refusal to refresh in [Mac] Internet Explorer Sounds like a bug in Explorer; nobody else has reported this. If I remember correctly, I set certain Mail-Archive to transmit images (i.e. the logo) with HTTP instructions that it was very cachable. Maybe this is freaking out your browser. * > Wishlist: Reply-To button The analog list archive (as a guinea pig) will now honor Reply-To headers. Should take effect with new messages. * New generation of hardware The current hardware is getting a bit long in the tooth. Anyone remember back when processor clock speed was measured in MHz? I'm working on new hardware (and maybe new hosting site) sometime after Debian 3.0 ships. Debian is scheduled to ship May 1, although my personal guess is June. -Jeff _______________________________________________ Gossip mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://jab.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gossip
