Ah, I moderated [EMAIL PROTECTED] to eliminate spam and
off topic messages, then accidentally moderate one through,
sorry about that. 

So, here's the service status. The high speed net connection is
working great; there were a million HTTP requests last week, probably
more than half from Altavista and friends. Also, the faster machine is
meaning a much shorter archiving delay -- in many case it's down to a
couple of hours.

The biggest glitch is changing the primary DNS server with internic --
for some reason it isn't taking hold. Fortunately, with secondaries in
place with correct DNS data, there is no negative impact. I'm trying
to get a hold of network solutions to find out what the story is.

Not too much else to report.
