I'm planning to add a new feature to Mail-archive.com, which allows replies to messages, over email, without risking exposing to spambot address harvesters. The mailto: URL is simply brokered by a POST CGI script, which I think will very safe. Also, this will allow humans to use their default mail user agent, which is a definite plus.
The new feature is active for all messages under http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]. After some testing and hopefully feedback, I'll make it available for every list. So.... comments? suggestions? I know some people have wanted this for a _long_ time. Thanks, Jeff PS Neither lynx 2.8.1pre.9 or Netscape Communicator 4.08 on Linux seem to support getting message ID's from mailto: URLs. That's unfortunate, since such functionality is specifically mentioned in RFC 2368. Maybe other user agents do better.
