I am starting a new project and I am a bit unsure as the tools and methods to use. Basically at the end of the day, I want coordinates for every location returned from a search. For example, I search "Pizza Hut" and I there is a way to parse returned locations for lat. and lon. I plan on exporting all of these locations into a text file so i have a large data set to use for data visualizations. First off, is this legal under the TOU of the Google maps API. Second, is this the right tool to be using. And third, any tips on how to do this would be great. I am fine reading up on stuff myself but i am looking for a starting point.
