New MIT study on AI replacing workers: In my opinion, the study
methodology is flawed, and the study is being interpreted incorrectly
by many observers
The study is being interpreted as saying that almost 12% of workers
could be be replaced by AI now. Actually, it's talking about specific
tasks not specific workers, and claims it is not predictive. I am not
convinced that it's underlying model is useful for analysis in this
area. I'm basically considering most of the stories I've seen about
this today to be largely clickbait. -L
