Yes, I see that now. Actually whole last month I am looking for sources of business locations in different Google APIs to use them in Mobile application (not for smartphones). So far I found 2 options: Google AJAX Search API and Google Base API. Google Maps API doesn't provide simple local search by coordinates - it always needs map Id which I don't have by application design. To save screen space and bandwidth I need to display search results first and of user selects the location, only then I need to display the map.
But if you read my question again you will see that I am complaining about item type filtering feature. For the same query I got 4 results or 0 results (without or with filter). That's what I am talking about!
