Dear colleagues,

since last week, BASE
(https://www.base-search.net<https://www.base-search.net/>) lets you search
more than 200 million documents. The metadata are provided by more than 8,100
repositories and other

sources.

The main reason for the strong growth is the use of Crossref as another data
source in combination with the Unpaywall API and an improved data ingestion
workflow. This combination makes it possible to add large amounts of data from
publishers to the BASE index and to determine the respective open access share.

In our list of indexed content sources
(https://www.base-search.net/about/en/about_sources_date.php) you can find the
first major publishers with their total number of indexed documents in BASE and
the calculated open access share according to Unpaywall. Another option is to
search an entire publisher collection, e.g. Wiley:

... and to refine the results afterwards, e.g. by restricting them to open
access documents.
