Hi, I hope everybody is doing fine. What is the reason that there are Plane Surfaces in gmsh? When I create a Ruled Surface out of lines which already are on a plane, gmsh does create a plane surface. At least that is what I experienced. Only it is called Ruled surface then. As a matter of fact I created my whole mesh with only Ruled Surfaces, even the plane surfaces and I can’t see any disadvantages with this procedure. Maybe someone could explain this.
