Isn't it not recommended to edit the gitlab/config/gitlab.yml settings
in a omnibus based installation as it will be overwritten on upgrades
and running "gitlab-ctl reconfigure"?
On running "gitlab-ctl showconfig", I see that there is a
"user": {
"git_user_email": "[email protected]"
},
I will try setting it in /etc/gitlab/gitlab.rb and try if it achieves
what I want.
