I am setting up a project to be published under the Creative Commons Attribution License, http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/
The goal of the project is to create mesh objects, animation riggings, scripts, animations and textures for 'small cute critters' for use as avatars on Second Life and derivative VR worlds. A part of this will be documenting the process to aid those who wish to learn how to create and extend the project as well as for their own use. Rather than "reinvent" what has likely already been accomplished, would anyone be aware of similar CC projects that would serve as a 'best practices' template for what I wish to do? Would the best documentation be pure, simple HTML? Open Office docs? Any serious documentation will necessarily include images.
