I went for that in this PR since it seemed the natural extrapolation of create external table. I agree -- this is fine. We can sort out the `cascade` syntax / semantics as a follow on PR / work if the usecase arises. I think this pR is ready to go now -- and we can iterate on it in follow on PRs.
