   I believe major releases every six to eight weeks helped datafusion growth 
so we shouldn’t simply abandon them. However, I agree that catching up with new 
interfaces every few months is too demanding. 
    
   Should reviewers push back on breaking changes a bit harder perhaps? It 
sometimes feels like everyone’s accustomed to breaking changes so they’re seen 
as the easiest option to take. 
   
   Can we consider  "breaking change per quarter budget", it would raise a bar 
for merging braking changes, yet it would allow controlled number of braking 
change to get in.
