Thanks for the proposal @wirybeaver. I'd just like to add my thoughts to the discussion. The ability for Ballista to be able to support open table formats is clearly important for widespread adoption. I have to agree with @milenkovicm though that the project just doesn't have the maintainer bandwidth to have these integrations be part of the core repo. The core Ballista maintainers are mostly doing what they can in their free time without employer support. This is quite different from a project such as Comet that has more enterprise adoption and more maintainer bandwidth. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
