I will focus the first milestone on: - keeping the root site on `main`; - versioning only the User Guide and Library User Guide; - creating a manual `55.0.0` snapshot; - following Comet's URL convention; - adding the version manifest and picker; - leaving contributor and other site sections unversioned; - keeping release automation and older-version backfilling for follow-up work. I will study the current DataFusion and Comet publishing pipelines, then open a focused draft PR with the proposed layout and initial implementation.
