Apologies for the delayed response on this! You are right about the scope, I was referring to the logical vs physical expression. You are right about the code duplication too. That way, this PR remains minimal and it can leverage the regular casting out of the box. I'm happy to update this branch to isolate just that mapping logic. Are #22162 and #21071 approaching main?
